Refund and Cancellation Policy
How first-period refund requests, subscription cancellations, and Paddle transaction support work.
Effective: 24 August 2026
1. Who handles the transaction
Paddle acts as Merchant of Record and is the contracting seller for ToTheCent purchases. Paddle processes payment, issues the invoice or receipt, handles applicable sales tax or VAT, and administers transaction adjustments. Headframe provides access to and support for the ToTheCent software; it does not invoice the Customer for Paddle purchases and does not receive, hold, or move customer funds.
2. First subscription period
A Customer may request a refund within 14 calendar days after purchasing its first ToTheCent subscription period. To request one, contact contact@tothecent.ai from the business email associated with the order and include the Paddle transaction or subscription identifier. Do not send payment-card information.
Eligibility under this policy does not change Paddle's role as the contracting seller. Approved transaction refunds are processed through Paddle and remain subject to Paddle's buyer terms and operational review. Any amount is returned using the method and timing supported by Paddle and the original payment method.
3. Renewals and partial periods
After the 14-day window for the first subscription period, paid subscription periods are non-refundable except where mandatory law or Paddle's applicable buyer terms require otherwise. ToTheCent does not offer pro-rata refunds or credits for an unused part of a monthly period, reduced usage, delayed onboarding, or a cancellation submitted after a renewal has begun.
4. Cancelling a subscription
A Customer may cancel through the Paddle-managed subscription flow or by contacting the role mailbox above. Cancellation prevents the next renewal and takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. The Customer retains access through that date unless access is suspended for breach, security, legal, or non-payment reasons under the Terms of Service.
5. Service issues and duplicate charges
Report an apparent duplicate charge, incorrect transaction, or inability to access a paid subscription promptly. Billing questions may be directed to Paddle using the support route shown in the transaction email. Product access issues may be sent to Headframe. Reporting an issue does not itself cancel a subscription; cancellation must be completed through the process described above.
6. Scope
This policy concerns purchases of business software access. ToTheCent is software analytics for AI spend, not a payment processor, money services business, or provider of financial advice. It never holds or transfers customer money. Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
